ABOUT 

Cecile has been commissioned by EDGE Technologies and ABN AMRO Bank, in collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam and CBK Zuidoost, to delegate the creation of a public artwork on Garage Haardstee in Amsterdam Zuidoost.

In the first phase of this project, a neighbourhood survey was held to discuss the plans for artwork in the area. The survey made apparent a need for more colour and art in the street.

For a few months, two artists have been working on floral-themed paintings on the grey and gloomy walls of Garage Haardstee and called it “ The Botanical Garden of Bims”. With their work, the artists aim to create a sense of togetherness and a safe atmosphere for their residents and visitors.
